Jupyter: Kernels and environments
4 common Jupyter tasks.
Register an environment as a kernel
Make a virtual environment selectable in notebooks.
python -m ipykernel install --user --name myenv --display-name "Python (myenv)"
Remove a kernel
Unregister a kernel you no longer use.
jupyter kernelspec remove myenv
Caution: Removes the kernel's registration, not the environment itself.
Install a package from a notebook
Use the % magic so pip installs into the notebook's own environment.
%pip install pandas
